Last Week for Pumpkins

This weekend, Oct. 28 and 29, will be the last days Centennial Farms will be open.  There will be no admission charge or hayrides, but the playground will be open.  Pumpkins, gourds and mums will all be on sale.  Thank you for being our customer this year.  We hope for a much better apple crop next year.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins

Our large pick-your-own pumpkin patch is open for business. We have set up our pumpkin displays and graveyard, and our barn is set up with white, black and orange pumpkins as well as numerous varieties of mini pumpkins and gourds, as well as the popular “snake gourds.”  We also have mums, apple butter, preserves and honey from our hives.

The playground has again been expanded and we offer hayrides around the farm.  We are open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00.  To cover all the increased costs, there is an admission charge of $5.00, excluding children under 2 years.

Pumpkin Season

Apple picking is finished.  Thank you for being understanding of our small crop.  We lost 90% of the crop to a frost in late April.

Pick Your Own Apples

Centennial Farms has a very small apple crop this year because of a severe spring freeze.  We will have pick your own apples on only a few weekends, starting on Saturday, September 2.  Apple butter, preserves, unpasteurized honey, salsa and other items will be available in our market.  Our playground has been updated with new attractions.  There will be a $5.00 admission charge for the playground again this year.

The pumpkin crop should be good with the recent rains and we will start pick your own the middle of September.

Last Weekend for Blackberries

This weekend, July 29-30, will be the final weekend for blackberries.   The berries grow in rows on a trellis so are easy to pick.  Hours for pick your own will be Thursday – Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00.  You can pick other days and earlier hours IF YOU CALL TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS, 636-228-4338.  We will have picked blackberries available in the market in pint and quart containers.  Please call if you want several quarts.

Closed for the Season

Centennial Farms is closed until next July,  when the blackberries ripen.  In the meantime, we will be selling apple butter, preserves, honey and dressings at the Augusta Christmas Walk on the first two Fridays in November.

Thank you for being our customer in 2022.  We will all have many happy memories of this year.
