Centennial Farms will be open until October 31st this year, every day from 10:00 to 5:00.
Pumpkin picking has started and our yearly transformation into Pumpkin Fantasyland has started. Walk into out farmstead and be surrounded by pumpkin characters and Halloween fun. We decorate with full size pumpkin and gourd figures representing farm folks, storybook characters and some of your favorite movie characters. There are aliens and a crashed spaceship. A graveyard has some very humorous inscriptions, most of them from real cemeteries. Mixed in with the figures are hundreds of pumpkins from minis to some big ones.
The apple crop is excellent this year. We still have lots of Fuji, Golden Delicious and Arkansas Black. Pick your own apples are $1.75 per pound.
We also have fresh, unpasteurized cider for sale in our market.
There is no admission or parking charge. We have all new attractions in our playground. Apple butter, preserves, honey and salsa will also be available in our market. We have a good supply of mums grown at Centennial Farms.
Centennial Farms has been owned by the same family for 165 years. The first owner, a Daniel Boone follower, founded the Town of Augusta after he purchased the property in 1821.
