Centennial Farms will be open 7 days a week for apple picking starting Thursday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This includes Labor Day.
The apple crop is excellent this year. Jonagold, Mutsu, Cortland, Cameo, Liberty, Jonathan, Ruby Jon, Empire, Gold Delicious and Red Delicious can all be picked. Pick your own apples are $1.75 per pound.
There is no admission or parking charge. We have all new attractions in our playground. Apple butter, preserves, honey and salsa will also be available in our market. We have a good supply of mums grown at Centennial Farms.
Centennial Farms has been owned by the same family for 165 years. The first owner, a Daniel Boone follower, founded the Town of Augusta after he purchased the property in 1821.
